Creative design
"Perfection takes time and love, but is always worth the wait."
Pablo Picasso
A creative design period is always the beginning of a new model lifespan. It takes a lot of time and inspiration until the final template for a new model is finished.
Bending the corpus
The first step is to prepare all different rattan pieces, clean, paint and cut them.
Then the strongest parts have to be brought into the right shape. This requires a good feel for the material and the force to be used to bend it.
The art of wrapping
A delicate instinct is required to combine the various weaving techniques that this wonderful material allows.
In this step, the bag gets its very unique shape. Because of litte variations of the nature material and the handmaking, every bag is totally unique on this planet.
Fixing the stability and colour
A subtle application of heat is necessary that the corpus reaches its final form stability. Again a good understandig of the material is essential at this point.
The different colours of our bags are also achieved by heating the material. No chemical colours are used.
Cutting leather, assembling parts
Then all leather parts are cut and prepared for later assebly. Also if metal parts are needed, they are prepared in this step.
Sewing+mounting
The inner cloth and the final corpus are sewed together. In this step also the optional bronze parts like buckles and locks are mounted to the corpus.
Finishing
Last but not least, the single unique parts of each bag are placed and fixed to give each Josy's bag its graceful appearance.
Quality control
After producing, each bag is controlled by an expert to ensure ony perfect quality bags will leave our production.
Shipping
Only after passing the quality control each bag is packed carefully in a natural outer protection bag before it is packed into the big transport boxes to ship it to our warehouse in germany.
